Mitek is the global leader in Check Image Analytics used to detect check fraud and improve customer service. Our recognition technology is currently being used to process over 8 billion checks per year.

Since its founding in 1985, Mitek has been an innovator in security software and intelligent character recognition (ICR) solutions. For 20 years, we have applied our knowledge to solving complex security, recognition, and identity verification challenges such as verifying the authenticity of a signature, reading the courtesy and legal amounts on checks (CAR LAR) and finding specific data on any random form.

Today, Mitek markets and supports the most comprehensive suite of recognition software used to test, clean, read and authenticate imaged checks or documents. Our products produce faster and more accurate results than our competitors, and we are used by customers and partners around the world. The capabilities we provide result in reduce labor costs, higher efficiency, and lower fraud losses.

Our employees come from around the world, and are attracted by our environment of technical innovation and industry leadership. We are located in the hub of Southern California’s technology center in San Diego.
