James B. DeBello, Chief Executive Officer

Mr. DeBello was named President and Chief Executive Officer in May 2003. He has served as a director of Mitek since 1994. Prior to being named Chief Executive Officer, he served as Chief Executive Officer of AsiaCorp Communications from 2001 to May 2003. Prior to that, he served as Venture CEO of IdeaEdge Ventures from 2000 to 2001. Prior to that, he served as President and Chief Operating Officer of CollegeClub.com from 1999 to 2000, Chief Operating Officer of Wireless Knowledge in 1998, a joint venture between Qualcomm and Microsoft, and Vice President and General Manager of Qualcomm's Eudora Internet Division from 1996 to 1998.

Prior to beginning his career managing technology companies, Mr. DeBello was the youngest executive hired by the Los Angeles Olympic Organizing Committee for the 1984 Olympics, which remain the most financially successful games staged. Mr. DeBello has been a featured keynote speaker at the Shanghai Government International Business Forum, China Telecommunications Development Forum, and the Greek National Economic Development Forum. He holds a B.A., magna cum laude, and M.B.A. from Harvard University, and was a Rotary Scholar at the University of Singapore where he studied economics and Chinese.

Dr. Grigori Nepomniachtchi, Chief Technology Officer

Dr. Nepomniachtchi serves as Chief Technology Officer and leads Mitek's scientific research staff in the United States and Russia. He is an accomplished international expert in image preprocessing, and has played a principle role developing Mitek's industry leading intelligent recognition and identity verification technologies.

Prior to becoming CTO in September 2003, Dr. Neponmniachtchi served as Mitek's Chief Scientist between 1999 and 2003. He joined Mitek in 1996 as Staff Scientist.

Before joining Mitek, Dr. Dr. Nepomniachtchi worked as Senior Analyst at AUDRE Inc., where he designed and implemented Optical Character Recognition and Geometrical Recognition engines for converting engineering drawings, maps and electronic schematics into machine-readable format.

While at Mitek, Dr. Nepomniachtchi created Mitek's advanced algorithms for finding dynamic data in unstrucutured forms. These algorithms enable Mitek's award winning DynaFind toolkit for EOB, HCFA and invoice processing. His work in image enhancement and form identification has contributed to Mitek's leadership in the intelligent character recognition industry. Most recently, he has invented various fraud detection techniques including signature and check stock validation which are the foundation of Mitek's Check Image Analytics.

Dr. Nepomniachtchi holds 4 patents in image analysis and intelligent character recognition. He has published more than 40 technical papers and has spoken at numerous international conferences on Document / Image Analysis and Understanding, Pattern Recognition and Biometrics.

Dr. Nepomniachtchi has a M.S. in Math and a Ph.D. in Topology/Geometry from the Lomonosow University in Moscow, Russia. Dr. Nepomniachtchi was recognized as Outstanding Researcher/Professor by the United States INS in 1995.

David Youngerman, Vice President of Sales

Mr. David Youngerman was appointed Vice President of Sales at Mitek in March 2007 and is responsible for all revenue generation, channel management and partner relationships worldwide. He has over 20 years of senior executive level experience in the financial services industry and has proven his ability to identify and seize business opportunities leading to successful operating results.

Prior to joining Mitek, Mr. Youngerman was President of Panini, N.A. (the US subsidiary of Panini, S.P.A. based in Turin, Italy). Youngerman joined Panini in 1999 and was promoted to President in 2001. He implemented a plan that grew the company's revenue substantially and cemented Panini's reputation as the leading manufacturer of remote image scanners in the Distributed Capture Industry. Prior to that, he held senior sales and operations positions at Wausau Financial Solutions and Culvern Corporation. Mr. Youngerman started his career at NCR Corporation where he was quickly promoted through product management and sales/marketing positions.

Mr. Youngerman received his B.S. in Management from The University of Dayton and has attended an Executive Management Program at the University of Virginia's Darden School of Business. He is a member of the American Bankers Association, the Banker Administration Institute and The Association of Work Process Improvement (TAWPI).

Tesfaye Hailemichael, Chief Financial Officer

Tesfaye Hailemichael joined Mitek Systems, Inc., as CFO in May 2005. Mr. Hailemichael is a seasoned financial executive with 15 years of strategic and tactical planning leadership for both public and private companies, and has extensive capital markets experience.

Prior to joining Mitek, Mr. Hailemichael was CFO at Maxwell Technologies (NASDAQ: MAXWELL), a leading global provider of micro electronic products, where he was responsible for all financial, accounting and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance. From 2001 through 2003, Mr. Hailemichael was CFO of Raidtec, Ltd., a privately held technology company based in Atlanta, Georgia and Cork, Ireland. From 1998 to 2001, Mr. Hailemichael was Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer of Transnational Computer Technology, a software company located in El Segundo, California, where he was responsible for operation and financial affairs of the company. From 1990 until 1998, Mr. Hailemichael was Vice President, Finance, and CFO of Dot Hill Systems (NASDAQ: HILL) where he oversaw 32 consecutive quarters of growth from $10 million to over $183 million resulting from organic growth and acquisitions, and orchestrated the Company's Initial Public Offering.

Mr. Hailemichael began his career as Division Controller for Mallinckrodt, Inc., a manufacturer of medical products and a division of Tyco. Mr. Hailemichael has a B.S. in Accounting from Bowie State College, and a M.A. in Accounting from Catholic University of America, Washington, D.C. He is a co-founder and member of the CFO Roundtable and a member of Day for Change, a support organization for abused children. Mr. Hailemichael serves as a board member and audit committee member for Partnership With Industry (PWI) and a board member for Financial Executive International of San Diego. Mr. Hailemichael was a board member of Volution Inc. and Transnational Computer Technology Corporation.
